RFIID or Radio-Frequency
Intelligent Identification is an enhanced version of RFID. Radio-Frequency
identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method,
relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags, transponders or nodes.
Using RFIID technology, users get lot more flexibility as compared to traditional RFID systems such as:
§ Storing larger amount of Data on Tags
§ Tags have ability to initiate communication with the Base,
rather than just waiting for a signal from Base.
§ Communication between Base and Tags (Nodes) is possible in
both ways simultaneously allowing a full duplex communication
BioAXS has
joined forces with
Mikrotek
AS
Norway
to build an RFIID solution focusing on many
industries. The very first version will be an Intelligent museum as
displayed in the below picture.

Technical Aspects of RFIID
§ Server
to PC Communication is Via LAN/WAN
§ PC
to Mobile Network communication is Via GSM Networks
§ PC
to Base Communication is via USB/Serial Ports
§ BASE
to Node (Tags) communication is via:
o Zigbee RF
o WiFi
