BioAXS was asked to deliver a Finger Print recognition system for staff and prisoners for the Prisons in Punjab. A comprehensive solution is installed at IG office Lahore and is being tested at Sahiwal Central Jail.

Use of Finger Print Smart Cards for RP Group

This Solution can be used for as many as Millions of members as every member will carry their Finger Prints in the Smart Card.

Process of verification will be a lot quicker as it will be 1:1 verification…

• Each Approved Place will need to have BioAXS’s Client Software which will be on a PC and Finger Print Reader will be connected to the PC to use the software…

• RP Group will need to have BioAXS’s Server software installed on one of the Network PC in RP Group’s premises…

• Members will pay at RP Group’s place and get their Cards Charged…. This Charging can be made available via Internet too, for member’s to advance money in RP Group’s BANK Account to use RP Group’s Services on approved places, using Finger Print smart cards…

• Every member will need to register his/her Finger Prints at RP group’s Server which will be stored into the Smart Card before issuance …

Kias Norway, one of the clients of BioAXS. Kias has been using BioAXS T&A since 2006. Kias has 3 outlets in Norway . After use of BioAXS Time & Attendance system in the main office, Kias asked BioAXS to provide them a solution to monitor attendance of all of their employees in other locations too sitting from Head Office.

BioAXS was quick to offer its existing online solution called Internet Based Attendance. Solution proposed was:

• Using BioAXS’s client software applications along with Biometric Sensors on each location
• Using BioAXS Server Application on one of the PCs in Head Office. PC in the Head office had to be equipped with a STATIC IP for an online connection to the other sites.
• Soap technology was used in this solution to establish an online connection with the server from all three locations whenever there was a change in the Database of any of the clients on any of the three locations.
• Clients on each location were also equipped with an Uploader software module to upload any change in the DB of client to the DB on the server
• Server was installed with a module of Synchronizer to synchronize any new data change on server to any or all of the clients

Finally KIAS is able to monitor daily attendance of all employees from all location separately from each location and combined from Server in the Head Office.

Kias is happy to learn that they could transfer Finger Print data of their employees from one location to the other location sitting in Head office using Server application. This made it easy for Kias to use employees at different locations and still get their Finger Print attendance without having a need to register them each time on each new location.

A Police department was having problems going through a CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESS from older technology to a newer technology.

In this scenario, Police network had thousands of Finger Prints of criminal people and other people involved in different activities stored in manual registers on photo cards taken by dipping fingers in ink pad then pasting it to the A4 photo card. (A traditional way of taking Finger Prints of people)

Police had tried to use currently available Finger Print registration devices which were perfect for new users but wasn’t enough to take care of the older data available in form of A4 photo papers.

BioAXS was approached to provide a solution. Solution proposed was:

• Use of Automated scanners to scan A4 papers with Finger Prints in jpeg format
• Next step was to separate Finger Prints on the A4 paper and assign them unique IDs. Here compatibility of stored format to the one acceptable by BioAXS registration & Verification software was taken in consideration
• Also storing multiple images of same Finger Print was taken care of by comparing each image being stored in the Database with the ones that already exist using 1:N comparison method
• Finally, all the older data was ready to be used and compatible with newer data registered with technologies available today.

Next step was to make data available online for online comparison with any criminal data any time.
